Project - 1 Media Industry

Broadcasting Station Project

This project aims to design, construct, and operationalize a modern broadcasting data center that integrates cutting-edge IT systems with advanced broadcast technologies. The Key features are:

Walta Media and Communication Corporate S.C. (WMCC), headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a state-owned media organization established in 1994. Initially known as the Walta Information Center, WMCC has evolved into a comprehensive media house, encompassing television, radio, and digital platforms.

In December 2024, Walta Media and Communication Corporate (WMCC) merged with Fana Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) to form Fana Media Corporation (FMC).

Strategy

The strategy is to plan and design a reliable, secure, and flexible backbone for broadcast operations, integrating IT and media systems seamlessly:

Target 📌

  • Construct a Broadcast Station

Design

The design approach involves specialized considerations to ensure it meets the unique needs of broadcasting services.

In the project, it plays a critical role — not just in installing and managing servers, but also in making sure the station’s digital backbone is reliable, secure, and ready for broadcast operations.

Features

The broadcast station is a facility used to transmit audio and video content to the public. The key features are:

The TV Station Data Center is a critical component in broadcasting operations, managing the storage, processing, and distribution of vast amounts of content and data. It is designed to ensure reliable, efficient, and high-quality delivery of television content to viewers.
